1. Transactional Interaction Text
Do you guys know what transactional interaction text is?
Transactional interaction text is text that interacted with other people with the aim that we get something we want from the other person or in other words to get things done.- to inform,
- to tell,
- to explain.
4. Generic Structures
- Opening: (to open the dialog) the part that contains greetings, introductions, or other expressions that indicate the beginning of the conversation.
- Body: (to ask or give information) the part that contains the content of the conversation related to the purpose of communication.
- Closing: (to end the dialog) the part that contains the closing of the conversation, such as thanks, apologies, or other expressions that indicate the end of the conversation.
For example:
- I am teaching an English lesson (yes, that is happening right now)
- You are watching a video (yes, that is what you’re doing right now)
It is also used for an action that is in progress or hasn’t finished.
For example:
- Edwin is learning Chinese (it doesn’t necessarily mean that Edwin is learning the language right now with the books around)
- now/right now,
- at the moment, and
- still.
